STE 1300apprentice can assist you with your apprentice or trainee requirements from the beginning to the end. We are a Group Training Organisation (GTO) that is committed to creating employment opportunities and continuity of employment.
What is a Group Training Organisation (GTO)?
STE 1300apprentice operates under nationally recognised guidelines as outlined by the GTO National Standards and the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.
We are the legal employer and have the expertise required to assist in all areas of ensuring the apprentice/trainee progresses through their training contract to a successful conclusion.
We are an independent third party that acts as a facilitator if required between you and the apprentice/trainee.
The STE 1300apprentice commitment is to source and provide quality apprentices and trainees on behalf of host employers across a broad section of industry. The STE 1300apprentice service includes:
The recruitment process including advertising, interviewing and testing
Provide selected candidates to the host employer for their final decision
Induction of the apprentice/trainee, arrange the training contract including Government department liaison, payroll, superannuation, workers compensation, leave entitlements, PAYG certificates and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) correspondence
Handling employment issues such as workers compensation claims and return to work programs, OH&S site inspections and PPE issue
Coordination of training with the RTO and the apprentice/trainee, including enrolment, reimbursement of fees and monitoring results and attendance
Liaising with the host employer and the apprentice/trainee regularly to ensure on-the-job performance is maintained through regular scheduled visits and other visits as arranged
Mentoring and counselling support when required

We take on the apprentice/trainee contractual arrangements
We can arrange to rotate the apprentice/trainee to another host employer on your behalf if your organisation no longer requires an apprentice/trainee
You decide who you want to employ - the final decision rests with you
We liaise with the RTO with any queries you may have
We invoice you for productive and RTO hours only - this allows you to match costs to income and better assists your cash flow
We process the weekly payroll leaving you free to run your business
We handle all of the applicable government required paperwork and liaise directly with the Government departments
Workers compensation claims are our responsibility as the apprentice/trainee is our employee
We have been employing apprentices and trainees for over 20 years - use our vast experience to help you and your company
Host Employer Responsibilities
To provide on-the-job training that aligns to the apprentice/trainee RTO theory and allows them to meet the requirements of their trade or qualification
Ensure that the apprentice/trainee is instructed and supervised by a person who is competent in their chosen trade or qualification
Provide a safe working environment, free from bullying, harassment or discrimination
