A business certificate will provide the skills required to take on a role as a clerk, administrator or business assistant. You will be taught keyboard skills that will enable you to produce simple word processed documents, create and maintain spreadsheets as well as data base management using current business technology. Other skills include processing of customer complaints, on-line purchase of goods and services and work effectively within a team.

A business traineeship is completed over 12 months and you would be required to complete a Certificate III Business nationally recognised qualification.

A business administration certificate provides the opportunity for all ages from school leavers to mature-aged candidates, providing a wide choice of electives. This course offers the opportunity to customise your training depending on the career path that you wish to follow. This could include roles such as a clerk, data entry operator, junior administration assistant or office administrator.
The core unit is to develop keyboard skill and accuracy using current business technology. Your training can include how to develop skills in organising schedules, creation of desktop published documents, process accounts payable and receivable and maintain a general ledger.

As your traineeship progresses, you will be able to choose from a wide range of generic business electives in accordance with the career path that you wish to enter. General administration includes organisation of meetings and business travel, create and use databases as well as work within a team environment. Specific industry units include the application and use of medical technology, how to take notes or capture and maintain digital images.

This traineeship is completed over 12 months and you would be required to complete a Certificate III Business Administration nationally recognised qualification.

image Financial Services (Accounts Clerical) Certificate III
 

A financial services traineeship is for people that wish to provide assistance to accountants and are known as a bookkeeper or accounts clerk. The traineeship teaches how to work in the financial services industry. You will be taught how to prepare and maintain financial reports, processing of bank receipts and maintain daily financial transactions such as invoicing and sales. You will learn how to process payroll, set up and use simple spreadsheets, and use computerised accounting systems.

This traineeship is for 2 years and you would be required to complete a Certificate III Financial Services (Accounts Clerical) nationally recognised qualification.
