image What is a Group Training Organisation (GTO)?
STE 1300apprentice operates under nationally recognised guidelines as outlined by the GTO National Standards and the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.

As a GTO, we are your legal employer with the responsibility of placing you with a suitable host employer where you are able to learn your chosen qualification. As part of this program we are also responsible for arranging off-the-job training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

image Duration of Traineeships
A traineeship program for a Certificate III qualification varies but is generally completed over a twelve month period. Some traineeships require a two year commitment.

There are two components to the traineeship program, on-the-job and off-the-job training. On-the-job training refers to the training you receive in the workplace. Off-the-job training is further knowledge gained with an (RTO). As the legal employer we cover the enrolment fees of the off-the-job training component.
