About OH&S

As per the new Work Health and Safety laws which replaced the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) laws in New South Wales on 1 January 2012, all employers (including 1300apprentice and the Host Employer) are responsible for protecting the health, safety and welfare of their workers in the workplace.

Here at 1300apprentice we find that the most common injuries that occur amongst young workers such as apprentices and trainees is due to a lack of experience and an inability to identify potential hazards. Inexperience increases the chance of injury occuring.

To instill safe work behaviours, 1300apprentice partners with its Host Employers to support and facilitate a range of WHS practices to encourage a safe workplace culture.

Within this section of our website we have dedicated pages to explain our processess and how we support our Host Employers, our apprentices and our trainees. Of course if you need to speak to our dedicated OH&S Manager, Darren Gibson can be contacted on 1300apprentice (1300 277 736), 9715 7344 or 0407 663 086.
