ACT School Based Apprenticeships

Are you in year 10 or 11 and considering an ASBA? Wanting to get a head start in your career? With this opportunity, you can earn while you learn at college!

You will complete your ASBA part-time as part of your secondary schooling. You will earn a wage, train with an employer, and work towards an accredited qualification while undertaking your high school certificate.

ASBAs are a great way to learn a role, gain experience, and get a head start in your career. Depending on what you do as your ASBA you may be able to finish this and gain the qualification while you are still at school.

An ASBA will fit within your school study program and it can count towards your HSC.

For year 10 ASBA students, you will study for a Certificate II. You must complete a minimum of 11 hours per week – this includes 8 hours of work on the job and 3 hours of structured training.

For year 11 ASBA students, you will study for a Certificate III. You must complete a minimum of 15 hours per week – this includes 12 hours of work on the job and 3 hours of structured training.
