Together we support over 330 apprentices and trainees and over 200 employers across 40 vocations in Canberra, Sydney, Illawarra, and the Southern Highlands.

Accountable for conversion of new host employers across private and Government agencies, you’ll apply your account management experience and networking ability to further grow a well-established client base. 

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing new host employers, mentoring and supporting apprentices and trainees and attending career expos and school talks.  You will work closely with industry contacts to promote 1300apprentice as the employer of choice. This is an important role which is challenging yet rewarding in a fun and energetic team. 

Working closely with a supportive team, we achieve quality outcomes for host employers and for our apprentices and trainees.

We do this by:

• Sourcing host employers who provide suitable training and supportive environments for entry level employees
• Ensuring a safe work environment by conducting WH&S site inspections
• Promoting suitable Vocational Educational & Training pathways to new and existing employers
• Managing our host employer and apprentices and trainee needs
• Supporting apprentices and trainees through regular performance monitoring
• Developing and maintaining a strong rapport with all parties
• Promoting the 1300apprentice brand through expo’s
• Maximising apprentice and trainee completion rates.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

• Have proven experience in business development and relationship management with private and Government organisations, in particular the VET industry
• Are solutions focused with a strong ability to problem solve
• Have the ability to forge and maintain strong relationships with clients, both existing and new
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Has a positive attitude and desire to be successful
• Hold a current driver’s licence with a good driving record
• Can provide an up-to-date Working With Vulnerable People check or Working With Children check.
