- General assistance to the supervisor including assisting with all types of joinery work in the building wooden and part wooden items which form part of a larger construction such as stairs.
- Assist with storage, lifting, fetching supplies and deliveries.
- Use authorised plant equipment and tools for which you are qualified or authorised to use.
- Undertaking tasks to assist in all sections of staircase manufacturing, construction and installation.
- Identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices and health and safety.
- Liaising with line managers, and other site workers and performing jobs as and when they are required, in accordance with contract/agreed requirements and within agreed time limits.
- Working using your initiative within agreed roles.
- Ensure compliance to agreed codes, legislations and procedures including health and safety.
- Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the business and/or its clients/customers to your supervisor.
- Meet your targets and those of the team as a whole.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the construction and installation of all staircases.
- Adherent to all organisation policies and procedures.
We are looking for someone with the right attitude, enthusiasm and genuine interest in this trade.
You should also have had some basic experience in using hand tools and power tools.
A white card and at least a provisional driver’s license is highly desirable.
