This is a hands-on recruitment position supported by a fantastic team and work environment, reporting to the Field Operations Manager. Recruiting for apprentices and trainees throughout a range of industries and occupations, this role offers plenty of variety. Assisting in starting new careers and building relationships with current and new host employers.

Established in 1985,1300apprentice is an independent, award winning for-purpose organisation.  Together we support over 300 apprentices and trainees and over 150 employers across multiple vocations in Canberra, Sydney, Illawarra, the Southern Highlands, Melbourne and Queensland. 

With over 150 years of industry experience, 1300apprentice has started over 2500 careers and provided a high quality of service to hundreds of companies in the process.  

We see this role as:

  • Sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates, liaising with external clients on recommendations and arrange interviews
  • Organise employee on-boarding
  • Establishing and managing relationships with clients
  • Managing networks with a variety of external organisations such as schools and TAFE\RTO’s
  • Present the benefits of an apprenticeship and traineeship to school students
  • Represent 1300apprentice at career expos and other opportunities that arise
  • Assist with recruitment for contract labour division
  • Working with special projects as they arise.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

  • Are enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to engage and relate to a diverse range of people 
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar industry 
  • Have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Previous experience in planning and managing your own projects 
  • Have a positive attitude and desire to be successful 
  • Hold a current NSW drivers licence with a good driving record
  • Can provide an up-to-date Working with Children’s check.
