The GTO handles payroll, leave, insurance, TAFE/RTO fees and performance monitoring. If a host employer runs out of work, the GTO rotates the apprentice to another business, providing continuity of employment. This differs from direct employment, where the employer hires the apprentice directly and manages all obligations themselves. Benefits of the GTO model for apprentices and trainees: - 1300apprentice is the legal employer and pays wages, superannuation, allowances and issues payslips - All TAFE/RTO fees are paid upfront by 1300apprentice - Continuity of employment if the host employer's work dries up - A dedicated Apprentice and Trainee Officer assigned at induction for ongoing mentoring and support - Workers compensation coverage under 1300apprentice's policy - Free service for job seekers Benefits of the GTO model for employers: - Risk-free employment of apprentices and trainees - Only two weeks' notice required to rotate an apprentice out - Invoiced weekly for productive and RTO hours only, matching costs to income - No employment risk, workers compensation sits with 1300apprentice - Full recruitment, screening, administration and compliance handled - Dedicated field officers (mental health first aid trained) conduct regular workplace visits - View-to-permanent option available --- ## Services ### 1.
