Certificate III Civil Construction (Bituminous Surfacing) Cert III, 1st to 3rd year, Angus (Riverstone area) NSW

1300apprentice currently has an opportunity for motivated individuals to commence or recommence a Civil Construction Apprenticeship, specialising in bitumen surfacing.

Our Partner Employer has been operating for over 20 years in the high-demand asphalt industry. A family business that invests in its team and prides itself in providing high-quality service. You will learn your trade from a highly experienced team who believe in sharing their knowledge with the next generation of asphalters.

Some of what you will learn:

  • Site preparation and laying of base foundation.
  • Saw cutting and patching.
  • Excavation
  • Safe operation of plant and equipment.
  • Laying of paths, driveways, speed humps, minor road works
  • Preparation of hot and cold bitumen
  • Maintaining a safe, efficient work site.

Must have:

  • Driver’s licence. Must be able to obtain full licence within six months.
  • Willing to obtain a Police and Working With Children Clearance
  • White card or willing to obtain one.
  • If you are a current apprentice, an up-to-date course transcript

To be successful:

  • Have a passion for this trade and want to be part of a growing business once you’ve completed your apprenticeship.
  • Physically fit and not afraid of physically demanding work
  • Comfortable with 6am starts.
  • Great work ethic
  • Dedicated and committed to completing a 3-year apprenticeship.
  • Willing to follow directions.
