Engineering – Mechanical Trade, Cert III, 1st year – Western Sydney

Since 1972, our Employer Partner has been renowned for providing exemplary end-to-end service. Their dedicated team manufactures, services, and repairs a wide range of specialist industrial pumps from their well-equipped workshop facility. They service customers in the Mining, Drilling, Food Processing, infrastructure, Industrial, Tunnelling, oil, gas, and Chemical Markets. This role will commence in Jan 2025

Some of what you will learn:

  • Learn from experienced fitters using the latest CNC, lathes and milling machines
  • How to interpret drawings
  • Repair, design and implement pump reliability improvements 
  • Work safely and effectively in a workshop and on-site environments
  • Manufacture, repair and fitting of a wide range of pumps
  • Use of power tools/hand tools
  • Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices
  • Service, repair and assemble pump components

About You:

To be successful in this apprenticeship, you will need to:

  • Be a logical and methodical thinker with a genuine interest in Engineering
  • Have good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Be down to earth, friendly and enjoy being part of a team
  • Have a White Card (or willing to obtain one before commencement)
  • A drive to succeed and learn all aspects of the trade.
  • Take pride in your work and be eager to learn
  • Hold a current driver’s licence and own a vehicle
