About Horticulture Traineeship Programs
If you’re a recent school leaver, looking for a rewarding career change or formal qualifications while gaining new skills and knowledge, the Certificate III in Horticulture might be the right course for you.
Certificate III Horticulture (Traineeship) is an entry-level course which allows you to obtain the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed in the industry.
Aside from learning about identifying, propagating, pruning and managing plant life, you may be tasked to operate unique machinery and equipment, under the guidance of industry professionals.
A horticulture traineeship is a hands-on career. Therefore, a keen attention to detail with a can-do attitude, an ability to take initiative and problem solve are valuable prerequisites.
The Certificate III Horticulture takes place over two years. Once you’ve completed the course, you will have a number of opportunities open to you such as finding your employment as a horticulturist in local gardens, or soil rectification, conservation efforts, turf management and more.
*This is a nationally recognised qualification, valid in all states and territories of Australia.
