1st – 4th year Certificate III Cabinetmaking and Timber Technology (Wood Machinist) Apprenticeship, Condell Park

1300apprentice is looking for a highly motivated and committed 1st year Cabinetmaking Apprentice or a 2nd/3rd year apprentice looking for a wider scope of work. To join a highly skilled, professional team in Condell Park.

Our employer partner maintains an enviable reputation for delivering exceptionally designed and executed bespoke architectural joinery, furniture, and corporate fitouts. Established in 2006, their in-house manufacturing facility has some of the most advanced machinery available.

Imagine learning your craft from seasoned professionals who are willing and eager to share their knowledge and help you succeed.

Some of what you will learn: 

  • Use of CAD (computer-aided drawing)
  • CAM (computer-aided machining)
  • Interpreting drawings
  • Use of hand and power tools
  • Fabricate custom cabinetry and displays
  • Prepare cutting list from plans and job specifications
  • How to work with timber, veneers, particle board
  • Installation of finished cabinetry
  • Apply quality standards.

To be successful:

  • Must have up to date TAFE transcripts if you are a current apprentice
  • Physically fit and not afraid of physically demanding work
  • Well presented
  • Committed to a 4-year Carpentry Apprenticeship
  • Dedicated, reliable and hungry to learn
  • White Card or willing to obtain one
  • Driver Licence and own transport (desirable)
  • Above all, passionate about becoming a highly-skilled, professional cabinetmaker
