1300apprentice has an opportunity for a Business Trainee with a customer engagement focus to join our partner’s team. Born from humble beginnings back in 2009 to satisfy the ever-growing need for lighting in Australia and New Zealand. They have grown to become Australia and New Zealand’s premier online supplier of lighting, ceiling fans and other electrical products in the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Never content with settling, they constantly evolve and challenge the status quo with a passion for delivering high-quality products to the market. This role is available immediately and will see you complete a Certificate III in Business, allowing you to gain experience and develop new skills and capabilities. Based in Kingsgrove, NSW.

About the role:

  • Performing a range of administrative tasks accurately and promptly
  • Answering customer phone enquiries, taking messages, following up on action items
  • Performing computer-based tasks, including preparing and sending standard written communications, maintaining databases and registers
  • Communicating and liaising effectively with managers and staff to assist in the professional operation of the business
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Simultaneously completing a Certificate III in Business
  • Providing customer service to your team members and management.

About you:

  • You must not have completed a Cert III or higher in Business
  • Fun, energetic, vibrant personality
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about customer service
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Professional personal presentation
  • Friendly with a positive can-do attitude
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to a 12-month traineeship.
