1300apprentice has an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to commence a Cert III in Horticulture with an industry-leading partner in Avalon.

Our partner employer designs and builds that provide clients with all-year-round enjoyment tailored to their lifestyle. From the creation and construction to ongoing care and maintenance. Their highly skilled team ensures that gardens become a focal point of the property. You will learn your craft from a skilled, supportive team and gain a Certificate III in Horticulture.

Some of what you will learn:

  • Garden and landscape design.
  • How to effectively lay Paving
  • Building retaining walls.
  • Plant and soil improvements for garden and turf areas
  • Drainage planning and installation
  • Plant and soil practices, including implementing plant establishment programs
  • Project costing further into the apprenticeship.

To be successful, you must:

  • Committed to completing a 2 year traineeship
  • Have a passion for this trade and want to be part of a growing business once you’ve completed your traineeship.
  • Physically fit and not afraid of physically demanding work
  • Be well presented
  • Great work ethic
  • White card or willing to obtain one before employment.
  • Driving licence and own transport
  • Willing to undertake a National Police Check
  • Dedicated and wanting to learn
  • Follows direction well.
