A warehousing traineeship is a practical way to start a career in warehousing and logistics while earning a wage and completing structured training. You work with a host employer in a warehouse or supply chain environment and gain a nationally recognised qualification at the same time.
With 1300apprentice, we are your legal employer. As a not-for-profit Group Training Organisation, we place you with a host employer, manage your wages, superannuation and allowances, pay your TAFE or RTO enrolment fees, and support you throughout your traineeship.
What Is a Warehousing Traineeship?
A warehousing traineeship combines paid employment with practical workplace experience and structured training. You work towards a Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations, a nationally recognised qualification relevant to warehousing, logistics and supply chain roles.
As a trainee employed by 1300apprentice, you learn on the job with a host employer while completing your formal training through a TAFE or Registered Training Organisation. 1300apprentice pays the relevant TAFE or RTO enrolment fees.
For Students
You will be working on completing a Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations while you are in employment with 1300apprentice for your traineeship. This is a nationally recognised qualification.
The certificate will provide students with the qualifications, skills and knowledge to:
- Catalogue and label items
- Complete data entry for goods received
- Store and dispatch goods
- Package and prepare goods for dispatch
- Take down customers' delivery information
- Drive forklifts to transport heavy loads
- Keep track of inventory during stocktake
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Use warehouse equipment, with forklift duties included only where the role, training and licensing requirements allow
For tradies
As a supply chain operations trainee you will be learning the most efficient ways in the industry. This includes how to receive, handle and store products in a warehouse along with the methods used to dispatch these items from the warehouse.
