Trade spotlight – Financial services

The financial services industry is a broad field covering banks, insurance, financial planning, credit management, bookkeeping, insurance broking, life insurance, superannuation, mobile banking and many more. The varying traineeships teach you how to work in the finance industry.

Completing a nationally recognised financial services traineeship over a two year period is a great opportunity to get your ‘foot in the door’ and determine which sector of financial services you would like to pursue.

These traineeships can be delivered to students at school wishing to undertake a school-based traineeship in years 11 & 12, or to those seeking full-time employment.

Some of the duties you may undertake include responding to customer enquiries, sales and service, maintaining financial records, clerical duties, assessing applications, producing reports and many more!

Upon completion of the Certificate III, you may also wish to undertake further study by advancing to certificate IV and Diploma which can also be delivered under a traineeship pathway.
