ABOUT OUR FINANCE TRAINEESHIP

The Certificate III in financial services is a nationally recognised qualification designed for entry-level employees interested in entering the financial services industry. The scope includes performing administrative duties, clerical and customer service roles in banking and accounting firms.

Individuals undertaking the financial services traineeship will have the chance to apply knowledge and practical skills in real-life situations. Trainees will get to demonstrate autonomy and judgement and take responsibility under the supervision of a professional.

The traineeship will be completed over 24 months and feature a combination of formal training and practical on-the-job experience. Throughout your training, you will gain valuable practical insight in the workplace and have the opportunity to:

  • Assist the finance department in all areas of accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, accounting, and student administration
  • Debtor management such as debt collection, report analysis and statements
  • Organise creditor invoicing, payments, and allocations
  • Set up new starters in a payroll system, payroll processing and weekly/monthly reporting
  • Support with all accounting needs such as journals and cash flow forecasting
  • Assist with claims and reimbursements
  • Carry out other duties that are within the limits of trainee skills, competence and ability as required by the certification
