We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated 1st Year Automotive Electrical Apprentice to join *our employer partners team and learn from experienced industry professionals.

This is an opportunity to develop valuable electrical and technical skills while working with some pretty impressive vehicles and equipment.

Since 1993, our employer partner has been designing, manufacturing and installing light, strong and purpose-built service bodies for utes, trailers and trucks.

Trusted by tradespeople, industry and government organisations, they create customised mobile workspaces that help people get the job done every day.

From vehicle lighting and electrical systems to power solutions, storage compartments and specialised accessories, Hidrive combines practical design, manufacturing and technology to deliver fit-for-purpose vehicle solutions.

You’ll be joining a business where no two projects are necessarily the same, offering a great environment to learn and develop your technical skills.

⚡ What Will You Be Doing?

Working alongside experienced team members, you’ll gain hands-on experience and develop your knowledge of automotive electrical systems and vehicle fit-outs.

Your duties will include:

• Assisting with automotive electrical installations and fit-outs on utes, trailers and trucks.
• Learning to install vehicle lighting, electrical accessories and power systems.
• Assisting with wiring, testing and diagnosing electrical components.
• Developing an understanding of automotive electrical systems and installation techniques.
• Using tools and equipment safely while maintaining a tidy and organised workspace.
• Learning to interpret instructions, follow processes and complete work to a high standard.
• Working as part of a team to deliver quality products and customised vehicle solutions.

You don’t need previous automotive electrical experience or qualifications. We’re more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Ideally, you’ll be someone who:

• Has a genuine interest in cars, automotive technology and electrical systems.
• Enjoys working with their hands and figuring out how things work.
• Is organised, reliable and has a good eye for detail.
• Can manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy working environment.
• Has good communication skills and enjoys working with others.
• Takes pride in their work and follows instructions.
• Understands the importance of workplace safety, privacy and handling confidential information appropriately.
• Is motivated to learn, develop and build a long-term career.
