Our host employer is a highly respected engineering and metalwork company, specialising in precision custom-made steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, and brass products for residential, commercial, retail, and public projects. Their reputation is built on a commitment to quality craftsmanship and delivering exceptional results.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll work towards completing a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Sheet Metal, Light Fabrication), gaining nationally recognised qualifications and skills.

🛠️What You’ll Be Doing

  • Reading drawings and specifications to deliver high-quality work
  • Cutting, rolling, shaping, bending, moulding, and welding metal products
  • Using advanced machinery and technology to create precision components
  • Performing on-site installations and repairs
  • Applying fabrication, forming, and shaping techniques
  • Operating workshop machines and performing routine maintenance
  • General workshop duties and keeping your workspace clean and safe

🔥 Engineering – Light Fabrication Apprenticeships are on the Australian Apprenticeship Priority List. You may be eligible for a payment of between $5000,00 and $10,000.00 from the Government during the term of the apprenticeship

  • A strong interest in starting a Sheet Metal/Light Fabrication Apprenticeship
  • A great work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Drivers licence and own transport
  • Basic hand and power tool experience
  • White Card and Asbestos Awareness Card (can be obtained during recruitment)
