1300apprentice is recruiting motivated and passionate 2nd or 3rd year Light Automotive Apprentices to work with our employer partner, a leading used car dealership in Fyshwick, ACT.

This opportunity will see you expand your skills working on a wide range of used vehicles,

• Working within a well-maintained and workshop in reputable used car dealerships.

• PPE provided and replaced free of charge.

• Through exceptional training, you will gain a nationally recognised Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology upon completion.

• Ongoing one-on-one support from a dedicated and experienced 1300apptentice mentor.

• Hone your skills on a wide range of vehicle brands and types, rather than working on one make doing express servicing and basic repairs.

🔥 Government Bonus – Light Automotive Apprenticeships are on the Australian Apprenticeship Priority List. You may be eligible for a payment of between $5000.00 to $10,000.00 during the term of the apprenticeship.

• Self motivated

• Must be up to date with your studies and able to provide current training records

• Have a passion for the automotive industry and building a carrier as a professional automotive technician

• Physically fit to meet the demands of the role

• Committed to completing the remainder of your apprenticeship with our employer partner

• Strong team mentality with the ability to take initiative 

• Excellent work ethic

• Current P licence minimum is essential

🛠️ Some of what you will learn:

• Servicing a wide range of vehicles

• Carry out warranty repairs, and refurbishment of parts

• Preparing vehicles for display and sale

• Following safe working practices in an automotive environment.

• Use & maintain tools & equipment specific to light vehicle automotive.

• Diagnose faults on automotive electrical, mechanical systems & components.
