About the role

1300apprentice is seeking an enthusiastic 1st-year Apprentice Wall & Floor Tiler to join our employer partner based in Kiama. You will learn the skills and techniques required to become a qualified wall and floor tiling professional.

Some of what you will learn  

• Assisting experienced tilers with the installation of tiles on walls and floors
• Measuring, cutting and laying tiles using the correct adhesives and grouts
• Preparing surfaces for tiling by cleaning, levelling and priming
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
• Completing all tasks to a high standard and in accordance with industry standards
• Participating in on-the-job training and formal education to develop your skills.

What we’re looking for

• A strong interest in the building trades and a desire to learn the art of wall and floor tiling
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• The ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• A willingness to learn and develop your skills through both practical and theoretical training
• P Driver licence minimum is essential
• White Card (or willing to obtain one)
• A positive attitude and a commitment to completing your apprenticeship.
