Apprenticeship FAQs

An apprenticeship program is generally completed over 4 years. Within the first 3 years, you will complete structured training by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) such as TAFE. Competency-Based Completion can be attained through discussion with your host employer, RTO and your Field Officer.

How much will I get paid?

At a minimum, you will be paid award wages and will receive all of your entitlements as per the award. Check out the Fair Work link to find out more.

What are your responsibilities?

Do I need to provide references for the interview?

References, especially ones from any job, work experience or casual role that you have had, will always help you. Make sure that that the person giving the reference knows that you’ve put their details down.
