How to register

When the time comes for a pre-apprenticeship or traineeship course it will be listed as a job post on our website as well as on our social media pages. We can let you know about this if you'd like to subscribe to our newsletter (Be the first to know link is on the home page).

Eligibility

The following student eligibility applies to participate in the pre-apprenticeship/traineeship training:

  • Be aged between 15 and 40 at time of enrolment
  • Are no longer at school
  • Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or New Zealand citizen
  • Must not already hold a qualification in the same vocational outcome equivalent to or greater than the pre-apprenticeship course.

23 FEB 2021  Horticulture pre-apprenticeship course · Hosted by Ryde TAFE

This pre-apprenticeship is a fantastic way to taste an apprenticeship in horticulture (parks & gardens, landscaping, arboriculture) in just 3 days.

The selected units are fun, interactive, and practical. And better yet, you may apply for Recognition of Current Competencies if you proceed to the Certificate III in any of the above qualifications/apprenticeship: training.gov.au/Training/Details/AHC

  • FWPCOT2237 - Maintain chainsaws
  • FWPCOT2238 - Cut materials with a handheld chainsaw
  • FWPCOT2239 - Trim and felled trees
  • AHCMOM213 - Operate and maintain chainsaws
  • AHCWHS201 - Participate in WHS processes
